People Await the Opening of Ballroom #1

This is a View of About 2/3 of Ballroom #1

“Don’t Tread on Me”
The launch yesterday of Glenn Beck’s “We Surround Them” project was a HUGE success. Glenn’s program was inspiring, especially if you were among the thousands that gathered for one of the many live viewing events across the country. I was at the Cincinnati event, and was very impressed by the program that Glenn put together, the great job done by local organizers (ordinary people), and by the size of the crowd and enthusiasm of the people that attended.
The Cincinnati “We Surround Them” (WST) event drew a crowd of well over 1,000 people. The event was held at a Crown Plaza Hotel, and was originally scheduled to take place in a large ballroom with seating for about 500. Long before the doors opened at 4 pm it was obvious that another ballroom would have to be pressed into service. The organizers had wisely put that room on hold in case it was needed. Before the show began both halls were filled with standing room audiences, and the lounge and large lobby area were also filled. I have not heard the official estimate, but the total attendance was well over 1,000.
As expected, the local news media ignored the event, even after prodding from event organizers and many calls by others in the week prior. Tomorrow there is going to be a Tea Party Event on Fountain Square in downtown Cincinnati with over 6,000 confirmed and an expected turnout of over 7,500. I will be there!

As I have mentioned numerous times in previous posts, we need to become activists in order to counter attempts to move our country to the extreme left. In the next four years we will encounter many battles to protect the freedoms and beliefs that have made America such a great nation. We can no longer just sit back and expect that ‘everything will be OK.’ Those of us that have been active before must become more diligent, those that have been in the background must step forward. Our power is in numbers, and many more must wake up and accept their responsibility.

Look around at what we see on television, in commercials, movies, the Hollywood elite, the internet, the mainstream media, and from our ‘leaders’ in Washington. It is easy to feel that we are surrounded by a declining culture and government, and there is no escape. Glenn Beck has envisioned and organized a national movement he calls “We Surround Them.” The idea is to bring together people of similar values and beliefs to demonstrate the fact that each of us is actually surrounded by people of like values. The declining culture does not surround us, but ‘We Surround Them.’
This and other movements such as the ‘National Tea Party’ movement are emerging and catching fire all across the country. They are being organized and promoted by ordinary citizens that are beginning to realize what liberal interest groups have known for two generations. A large number of ordinary citizens joining together to express a common concern will have a noticeable impact on the media, politicians, and the general public perception. Attendance at these early events are important to the continued growth and influence of the new ‘Conservative Activism.’ Attend one of these early events and learn the pride and satisfaction of exercising your right and responsibility to have your voice heard in our Representative Republic. Your children will thank you!
Tomorrow is the first national ‘We Surround Them’ event. Individual simultaneous events are planned all across the country. Remember that power is in numbers and your attendance at these events is important. Please use the links below to learn more about these efforts and to find an event near you.

Regarding the story: Three RINOs Move Left to Support the Stimulus
I want to thank everyone that has stepped up and contacted these three RINOs, as well as their own senators. I hope you are also relaying this message to all of your personal contacts, and telling everyone you know that they must let their voices be heard on this critical issue. We must try to turn these three senators. I know it appears that I have become stuck on one issue here, but how we react to this situation will greatly affect the direction of our Country going forward.
The Democrats are desperate to have this bill labeled as bipartisan because it will not work and they know it. They realize that it is much more special interest and pork than stimulus. They need to be able to call it bipartisan. The Democrats realize that the bill they crafted is destined to pass, with or without Republican support. When this bill eventually passes we will be forced to ’share the wealth,’ but we should not volunteer to ‘Share the Blame.’
