This short clip clearly demonstrates President Obama’s lack of understanding and concern for hard working Americans.

He is totally committed to the extreme environmental lobby, without concern for the effect on American business, workers, and taxpayers. We must keep up the pressure to block continued attempts to enact any form of Cap and Trade.

Why a New American Tea Party Movement?

Nearly 47% of popular votes in 2008 went to McCain / Palin.
Even with record voter turnout,
Obama only received the endorsement of
about 32% of voting age Americans.

Barack Obama did NOT receive a mandate to “remake” America!

We must protect the Constitution and the America that the Founders envisioned.
Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, and Barack Obama do not possess the intelligence, judgment, or integrity of our Founding Fathers.

Too many Americans have sacrificed too much over the last 235 years for our generation to hand this country over to those that want to “remake” America!

We need to unite and become activists to save America as we know it.

The Tea Party movement began with a February 19th ‘rant’ by CNBC’s Rick Santelli on the Stock Market floor. His remark urging modern tea parties has caught fire across America.

Please support and participate in any Tea Parties in your local area. If there are none scheduled, take the lead and organize one. There have already been several successful demonstrations in Chicago, Washington, St. Louis, Philadelphia, and other cities.
How to Organize a Local Tea Party

There is a Tea Party planned for Sunday, March 15th at 3:00 pm on Cincinnati’s Fountain Square.
The day and time were chosen so that working Americans could attend, and would not interfere with the opportunity to attend their preferred church service.

Looking forward to participating and seeing everyone on the 15th!
This has to be just the beginning. We must continue to work to protect our heritage and preserve a promising future for our children.

Back in August of 2008, during the campaign, candidate Obama pushed for a $50 billion economic stimulus plan .   At the time, that seemed like a huge amount of money, and to many it looked to be an overt transfer of wealth.   Well, we now understand that $50 billion was mere pocket change.

The Senate just approved their version of the economic ‘stimulus’ bill this afternoon.   The cost of the bill is currently estimated at around $850 billion dollars, and is nearly 800 pages long. That is slightly more than one billion dollars per page.   Sounds quite harmless, doesn’t it?   We have been so conditioned over the last few months to accepting these huge numbers that the real meaning doesn’t even register.   But how many of us can even comprehend the enormity of such figures.

What does $850 billion look like? How do we understand what these numbers mean?   If we write it out, it looks like this – $850,000,000,000.   A big number, but still meaningless.    So how do we understand how much money we are talking about? Let me give you an example.

First I must remind you that these are your hard earned tax dollars that we are talking about.

I have tried many ways to demonstrate the amount of our money in this ’stimulus’ bill and have settled on one that is easily visualized and allows you to get a real grasp on what $850 billion really looks like.

The Department of the Treasury sets the thickness of all United States currency (bills) at .0043 inches .   That means that there are 232.6 bills in a one inch stack (1/.0043).

Let’s assume those are all $20 bills,
meaning the one inch stack of bills would be worth $4,660 (233 x $20)

Now it is time for us to do a little experiment.   Knowing that the one inch stack of bills is worth roughly $4,660, and without trying to calculate or think too hard, how high would the stack be to equal $850 billion dollars?   After you have made your estimate, continue reading for the answer.

I have posted the text and audio of President Obama’s Inauguration speech, but will offer only limited general comments at this time.

Over the last eight years many on the left have refused to address President Bush by his rightful title, referring to him merely as “Bush” or in more derogatory terms. I will not disrespect the dignity of the office and will refer to our current president as President Obama.

I hope and pray that he enacts policies that are consistent with the constitution and the principles of the founding fathers, and will support him when he does. However, my expectations are not high and I will strongly oppose him when he does not adhere to the oath that he took today to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.

I found many conflicts in his inaugural speech, and want to take some more time analyzing the text before commenting in detail. In my opinion the quality of this speech fell far short of what we have come to expect from Barack Obama.
There were times when the words he spoke could have come from Ronald Reagan, but those words do not align with his past statements and actions.
There were other parts of the speech that were fully consistent with his record and rhetoric of big government solutions to any situation.

I am confident that he has not suddenly become a fan of President Reagan, and realize that we will once again have to closely parse the President’s words and rummage through the fluff and camouflage to try to determine the true thoughts behind the words.

It will certainly be an interesting four years!

Obama Inauguration Speech

My fellow citizens,

I stand here today humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you have bestowed, mindful of the sacrifices borne by our ancestors. I thank President Bush for his service to our nation, as well as the generosity and cooperation he has shown throughout this transition.

Forty-four Americans have now taken the presidential oath. The words have been spoken during rising tides of prosperity and the still waters of peace. Yet, every so often the oath is taken amidst gathering clouds and raging storms. At these moments, America has carried on not simply because of the skill or vision of those in high office, but because We the People have remained faithful to the ideals of our forbearers, and true to our founding documents.

So it has been. So it must be with this generation of Americans.
